Συναδέλφισσα, συνάδελφε!

Είναι αλήθεια ότι εμείς οι εργαζόμενοι καθηγητές στα Κέντρα Ξένων Γλωσσών του Νομού Αττικής βιώνουμε με τον πιο δραματικό τρόπο ένα εργασιακό περιβάλλον, όπου κυριαρχεί η ανασφάλεια, οι συμβάσεις ορισμένου χρόνου οκτάμηνης διάρκειας, η μερική απασχόληση, η αυθαιρεσία, η μη καταβολή δεδουλευμένων, η κλοπή επιδομάτων και ενσήμων.

Είναι αλήθεια ότι η ακόρεστη εργοδοτική πλευρά κατάφερε να συρρικνώσει τις ήδη πενιχρές, τις χαμηλότερες στους ιδιωτικούς εκπαιδευτικούς, αμοιβές μας με άρμα το κλαδικό ψευδο-«Σωματείο Εργαζομένων στα ΚΞΓ Νομού Αττικής» που, κατά γενική ομολογία, η ίδια συνέστησε. Το εργοδοτικό σωματείο οργάνωσε αρχαιρεσίες με μπράβους και κατάφερε με δικολαβίστικα μέσα, όπως δίκες και προσφυγές κατά του σωματείου μας, να υφαρπάξει την αντιπροσωπευτικότητα του κλάδου. Έχοντας την υποστήριξη νομικών και πολιτικών κύκλων της εξουσίας, πέτυχε να κηρυχθεί η τρίτη κατά σειρά, διετούς διάρκειας, κατάπτυστη σύμβασή του που μειώνει τις απολαβές μας, ακόμα και πάνω από 40%!

Είναι αλήθεια ότι αυτή η σύμβαση ισχύει νομίμως σήμερα σε όλη την Αττική (από 1.9.2008 έως 31.8.2010)!

ΕΜΕΙΣ ΟΙ ΚΑΘΗΓΗΤΕΣ ΣΤΑ ΚΞΓ ΔΕΝ ΠΡΕΠΕΙ ΝΑ ΜΕΝΟΥΜΕ ΠΛΕΟΝ ΑΠΡΑΓΟΙ ΚΑΙ ΝΑ ΑΠΟΔΕΧΟΜΑΣΤΕ
ΜΟΙΡΟΛΑΤΡΙΚΑ ΑΥΤΗ ΤΗ ΖΟΦΕΡΗ ΠΡΑΓΜΑΤΙΚΟΤΗΤΑ.
ΟΦΕΙΛΟΥΜΕ ΝΑ ΑΝΤΙΣΤΑΘΟΥΜΕ ΣΤΙΣ ΑΠΟΦΑΣΕΙΣ ΚΑΙ ΣΤΑ ΣΧΕΔΙΑ ΤΩΝ ΕΡΓΟΔΟΤΩΝ,
ΝΑ ΠΡΟΣΤΑΤΕΨΟΥΜΕ ΤΗΝ ΑΞΙΟΠΡΕΠΕΙΑ ΜΑΣ

Συναδέλφισσα / συνάδελφε,

• Αν θέλεις να πληρώνεσαι για τις δεκαπέντε ημέρες των εορτών των Χριστουγέννων και του Πάσχα, που ο εργοδότης σου έχει κλειστό το Κέντρο Ξένων Γλωσσών, έχοντας εισπράξει κανονικά τα δίδακτρα από τους σπουδαστές,

• Αν θέλεις να παίρνεις επίδομα 3% για το master και 5% για το διδακτορικό,

• Αν θέλεις να πληρώνεσαι για τις εκτός ωραρίου επιτηρήσεις διαγωνισμάτων, ενημερωτικές συναντήσεις με τους γονείς των μαθητών, συσκέψεις προσωπικού και την προετοιμασία των μαθημάτων,

• Αν θέλεις να σου καταβάλλεται ολόκληρο το ποσό της αδείας και το σχετικό επίδομα,

• Αν θέλεις οι έγκυες συναδέλφισσες να προστατεύονται με ευνοϊκές ρυθμίσεις,

• Αν θέλεις να μην αμείβεσαι με μειωμένες αποδοχές για κάθε ώρα απασχόλησης,

• Αν θέλεις η κάθε τριετία, που εξασφαλίζει αύξηση 5% επί του βασικού, να μην υπολογίζεται με 300 ένσημα για κάθε έτος απασχόλησης, αλλά με 9 μήνες (ανεξάρτητα από τον αριθμό των ενσήμων),

• Αν θέλεις οι τριετίες σου να μην μειωθούν από 10 σε πέντε 5 και να λογίζονται σύμφωνα με τον παραπάνω κατάπτυστο τρόπο,

• Αν θέλεις ο εργοδότης σου να ελέγχεται από συλλογικό φορέα εργαζομένων για την τήρηση των ΣΣΕ,

• Αν θέλεις να μην είσαι δεσμευμένος να παραμένεις στο χώρο εργασίας πέρα από το καθορισμένο ωράριό σου χωρίς αμοιβή, όποτε κρίνει ο εργοδότης σου,

• Αν θέλεις να μην είσαι στο έλεος των εκβιασμών του κάθε αδίστακτου επιχειρηματία,

• Αν θέλεις, τελικά, να μην αμείβεσαι με αποδοχές μειωμένες πέραν του 40%,

• Αν θέλεις οι όροι εργασίας σου να απορρέουν από ΣΣΕ που θα διαπραγματεύονται οι εργοδότες με ένα σωματείο που προασπίζεται ειλικρινά τα συμφέροντά σου και όχι με το μόρφωμα που έστησαν οι ίδιοι για να ικανοποιήσουν τα δικά τους συμφέροντα, τότε

ΠΑΛΕΨΕ ΜΑΖΙ ΜΑΣ ΓΙΑ :

 Την κατάργηση κάθε μορφής ιδιωτικής εκπαίδευσης και την σταδιακή αφομοίωση όλων ανεξαρτήτως των ιδιωτικών εκπαιδευτικών στην δημόσια και δωρεάν εκπαίδευση, με παράλληλη διασφάλιση των επαρκειούχων που διδάσκουν ήδη στην ιδιωτική εκπαίδευση
 Σταθερή και μόνιμη εργασία
 Την άμεση αναστολή της ισχύος της κατάπτυστης Σ.Σ.Ε. του εργοδοτικού ψευδοσωματείου
 Την υπογραφή νέας Σ.Σ.Ε. από το σωματείο μας στη βάση των αναγκών και σε συνέχεια των κατακτήσεων του κλάδου μας
 Την αναγνώριση της αναγκαστικής επιδοτούμενης ανεργίας ως συντάξιμου χρόνου.

Τα παραπάνω είναι ορισμένα μόνο από τα αιτήματα που θέτει ο ιστορικός Σύλλογος Εργαζομένων στην Ιδιωτική Εκπαίδευση Νομού Αττικής «ΒΥΡΩΝ» (3ης Σεπτεμβρίου 48β), ο οποίος μάχεται στο χώρο μας από το 1975.

Dear colleague,

It is a sad fact that language teachers in Foreign Language Centres in Attica suffer the harsh realities of a work environment where insecurity prevails. Eight-month fixed-term contracts, part-time employment, arbitrary employer decisions, non-payment of wages and downright theft of our benefits and social security (IKA) contributions are the rule.

It is also true that our voracious employers have managed to shrink our already meagre pay (the lowest in the private teaching sector) even further, using as a vehicle the “Union of Workers in Foreign Language Centres in Attica” (Σωματείο Εργαζομένων στα ΚΞΓ Νομού Αττικής), which is, in fact, nothing more than a pseudo-workers' union set up and controlled by our employers and their minions. Having organised elections at which the entrance to the ballot stations was “policed” by bodyguards, this travesty of a union managed, by means of legal manoeuvres such as lawsuits and litigations against our true workers-union, “VYRON”, to steal the right to represent our sector in the talks leading to the signing of Collective Agreements. Using this position and with the backing of certain political quarters and high-profile law-firms, the above pseudo-union succeeded in having its Collective Agreement (though abhorrent) declared binding by the former under-Secretary of Employment and Social Security, Ms Kallatzakou, thereby reducing our pay by 40% or more.

Deplorably, this Agreement has been in effect in Attica since 01 September 2008 and will continue to be so until 31 August 2010.

WE, THE TEACHERS IN FOREIGN LANGUAGE CENTRES, CAN NO LONGER AFFORD TO RESIGN OURSELVES TO THIS GLOOMY SITUATION.
WE MUST PROTECT OUR DIGNITY AND TAKE A STAND AGAINST OUR EMPLOYERS' PLANS


Dear colleague,

• If you wish to be paid – as you should - for the Christmas and Easter breaks, when the Foreign Language Centres close but for which your employer still collects tuition fees as usual,


• If you wish to receive a 3% bonus – as you should - for your Master's and a 5% bonus for your Ph.D.,

• If you wish to be paid for the valuable extra time you spend on invigilation, parents' days, meetings and preparation – as you should,

• If you wish to receive the full amount of your leave and its bonus – as you should,

• If you wish your pregnant colleagues to be protected by favourable clauses - as they should,

• If you don't wish to see your wages reduced even further – as they shouldn't,

• If you don't wish to see the maximum number of the three-year work periods, which entitle you to a rise of 5% on your basic pay, reduced from 10 to 5 – as they shouldn't,

• If you wish to be required to have 9 months of employment (regardless of the number of IKA stamps) instead of a total of 300 working days (IKA stamps) in order to able to establish one year of experience – as you should,

• If you wish your employer's adherence to the terms of the Collective Agreement to be monitored by a true workers' union – as it should,

• If you don't wish to be obliged to stay behind at the Language Centre at your employer's whim when your teaching is over and not be paid for it – as you shouldn't,

• If you don't wish to be at the mercy of every unscrupulous businessperson – as you shouldn't,

• If you don't wish to see your wages reduced by 40% or more – as they shouldn't,

• If you wish the terms of your contract to be the product of an Agreement between the employers' side and a Union that truly fights for your rights and not a monstrosity set up by our employers to serve their own interests, then

STAND UP FOR YOUR RIGHTS AND FIGHT ALONG WITH US TOWARDS:

 The abolition of all forms of private education and the gradual incorporation of all teachers in state education.
 A secure and permanent job.
 The immediate suspension of the abhorrent
 Agreement signed by a pseudo-union directly controlled by the employers and their minions.
 The signing of a new Collective Agreement compiled and negotiated by “VYRON”, our true union, based on our true needs and in keeping with previous attainments.
 The recognition of unemployment period as time counting towards retirement.

The above are just a few of the demands laid down by the long-standing Union of Workers in Private Education in Attica, “VYRON”, 48b 3rd Septemvriou Street, Athens.
